Cool. So I can bail to the bar after the first one 🙂 Someone will cover for me, right?

  2. Johnny says:

    20 places left??

  3. If only we could have some fancy post-awards party like the Vanity Fair job. Heck, that was canceled this year and Elton John stepped in and knocked one together in a few days.

Maybe Elton would chip in for us lowly bloggers?

  4. Wasn’t there a sort of impromptu post-awards ‘party’ in 2006? I seem to remember being in a basement somewhere drinking cocktails (or, perhaps, eating cocktail sausages).

If I lived in the big smoke I’d organise something meself. Pots of scalding tay, hang sandwiches by the bucketload, waltz tunes banged out on a Yamaha keyboard – then everyone off to mass in the morning.

  5. Damien says:

    Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

  6. Fustar, there was much merriment made in the basement of the Merrion. I remember there photos, which is good thing, because after those cocktails you speak of it all got a bit hazy.

Damien, fear not, we’ll find somewhere to go til the wee hours. I’ll sniff us out a DJ playing the kind of 80s cheese that gets drunk people – even cool music bloggers – fighting their way on to a dancefloor.

  7. Sweary says:

Not me. I was born in the 80s.

  8. Damien says:

That was the type of DJ we had last year.

  9. Damn. Missed that. Pregnant ladies are like Cinderella – you have to be home before midnight (or someone will find you asleep in a corner and drooling on yourself).

  10. Damien says:

Congratulations Sinéad, baby number 2 on way! So blogging that…

    🙂

  11. Suzy Byrne says:

So is there going to be a slow set??

  12. D, are you kidding me? (No pun intended). I meant last year when I was PG!
This year, I will be drinking twice as much to make up for my sobriety and early leave-taking last year.

  13. Curly K says:

@ Suzy – oh I do hope there is a slow set 😉 LOL

  14. Steve says:

Wooo hooo…cheesy 80’s music. Cant wait.
Maybe, just maybe, someone will being a charlie-okey machine and we can sing as well.

Oh the larks to be had.

Rick…I’ll cover ya. Only prob is my blog will somehow win all the awards after you leave? Wonder how that would happen 😉
