Release the hounds – Awards Voting Round has opened

2007 Blog Awards Voting Form.

Voting will close on February 16th at 5pm.

OPML files for every category will be released soon too as well as a HTML file, but not now. I’m tired and Jason is tired. 🙂

Edit: Jason has the full list of nominations.

Further clarification: It’s ONE vote per person. If a person votes twice in the same category then both results are void. Please do not encourage people to vote multiple times.

Just a clarification. Please do not vote for In Fact, Ah in the most Humourous Post category (The Occasional Diary Entries of German Director Werner Herzog). It was a reprint of his writing!

  2. kirstie says:

with regard to voting, are we to ask readers to vote only once each? Or is it acceptable that they vote a couple of times? I’m not sure on the rules meself, like.

  3. Twenty Major says:

Yes, you should encourage your readers to rig the ballot. You should also tell them to commit welfare fraud.

  4. Damien says:

One vote per person per category. Any other way and blog owners might as well email me random numbers as their votes since they could just repeatedly hit the voting page. 🙂

A voter can of course vote for a category and not vote for anything else and then come back later after considering who to vote for in another category and vote for that.

  5. kirstie says:

    Damien – ta

and 20 – I’ll take a leaf out of your book so

  6. Twenty Major says:

I would never commit welfare fraud. How dare you.

  7. Tom says:

“UN observers have expressed ‘grave concerns’ over the integrity of the Irish Blog Award voting, after the incumbent Twenty Major junta won with 99.9% of the votes counted.”

  8. PaddyC says:

Given that some categories present a pretty large choice, can more than one vote be cast for different blogs in the same category?

Or are we looking at one vote per category?

And what does DHL stand for, I always wondered?

  9. Dan Sullivan says:

Youse will be demanding PR-STV for the voting next. And we can expect voting pacts amongst those in different categories and then the dead tree press spend their time wondering if a dream team will emerge to sweep the boards.

  10. annette says:

I bet the tally counters are paying close attention to this ballot….a test run for electronic voting if ever there was one – are you getting a grant for this Damien?

  11. magooo says:

hiya. is it possible to change “magoo” to “magooo” 🙂

  12. Niall says:

Hey, for my sins, I created the P.D. Election Video nominated in the videocasting category. Any chance I can get the link rather than youtube?
