Not to nitpick, but any chance my name can be spelt correctly?

  2. McAWilliams says:

Well good to see some things dont change, the photoblog category seems to be a big one again, out of 33 nominations it only got shortlisted to 21 wow.

Obviously this year shortlisted does not have the same meaning as last year as I doubt Mr O Shea is going to read out all these names. So the next round of judging will create the equivalent of last years shortlists, am I correct in thinking this?

Congrats to all the shortlisted now lets see who ends up as finalists

  3. rymus says:

    Rhymus? :D

Didn’t think I’d get shortlisted this year… Damn those judges for getting my hopes up again.

  4. Rick says:

Rhymus would be a good MC name for you in a future hip-hop career?

  5. JL Pagano says:

    Congratulations to everyone shortlisted.

  6. Deborah says:

Of course thanks to the sponsors, but also to you Damien. Can’t imagine how much work you’re putting into this! Kudos!

Congrats to everyone on the list!

  7. Grannymar says:

Wow! I am honoured and speechless to see My name there again, some seriously strong competition for this round.

Thanks to all those cross eyed from reading and judging all the blogs.

Good luck to all fellow short-lisrers. May the best man/woman win!

  8. Caoimhin says:

I’ll be rooting for Roy’s Taxi Blog all the way!

Whats the story with pre blog awards beers? sexist or otherwise?

  11. aoife mc says:

Eeep! The Indie Hour is chuffed. Thanks so much Damien for all the work for this, and to the judges and sponsors. Wahey!

  12. Ruari says:

Music one is interesting as much for who did not make it as did! Well done to those shortlisted!

Nialler9 looks like the favourite, but Kilkenny Music, MP3 Hugger, or The Torture Garden should attract those who like longer odds!!

All we need now is a bookie!

  13. rymus says:

cheers Rick, I’ll keep that in mind :D

  14. Sharon . says:

Congratulations to all those who made it to this stage – especially to a few of my favourites : Head Rambles , Slugger , Bock The Robber and Red Mum – well done ye all!
Now if you will excuse me – just going to my room . WAS all dressed-up –

  20. ally simpson says:

ah frig it!! you now iv got to say, when i was not short-listed i thought “ah well, my blog is only one of thousands in ireland and fair play” but then i clicked on a few of these and honestly?? cmon, i feel a sense of injustice when i look at some of the tosh that is on these lists……………sour grapes? yes indeed!

  21. shite.

  22. Curly K says:

Bloody hell, cannot believe that one (like everyone else!) but truly honoured to be listed amongst some of my favourites including Hangar Queen, Swearing Lady and Avoiding Life to name but a few of the list – thank you Damien for all your hard work, thanks to the sponsors and best of Irish to the other 13 nominees in the category of Best Personal Blog.

Suddenly feel all girly and “OMGish” – so not like Curly K!

  23. Justin Mason says:

http://towleroad.com/ makes for a, *cough* interesting “news / current affairs” read….

  24. John says:

A massive thanks to the judges for their collective abandonment of common sense in selecting Counago (that’s Counago as in Pablo Counago, not Couango as in Quango!) & Spaves for the best group blog shortlist.

Look forward to seeing you all on the night.

  25. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal!

  26. Well, I’ll be…..
thanks for the shortlist nomination! who’d have thought?!?! And there I was thinking about throwing out a complete re-design for the blog in the coming weeks to make it look half-decent. Think I’ll wait till after so I don’t total my site ;)

  27. nathalie says:

Wow ! Thanks for the nomination !
Looking forward to seeing all of you in March ! :)

  28. Tom Fallon says:

    Dear Friends of Gomaith:

As the victims of spurious and corruptible dealings and after a year of Adventures from the High Stool, Mac n’ Ollie find themselves homeless!

The Gomaith.com URL has been snaked away from our control and is being held ransom for a punitive amount.

We thank all of our readers and link partners for their continued support and readership.

We will be back online at our original blog spot while we work to adjust to our new situation.

  29. Could have sworn I’d done this but obviously not. On behalf of all of the collective Lima Bean Pickers of 4nine£ you have no idea what this means to all of us. Well, actually you do if you read us and how we’ve been raving about it all week.. Our genuine and sincere thanks.

  30. Mark Granier says:

I’m flabbergasted that my photoblog, Skyroad, made the shortlist, but I would be completely gastflabbered if it won; many of the others seem far more elaborate. I have no idea how this works. Did the public put me on the longlist and/or shortlist or the judges or some combination of both? Anyway, thanks to whoever nominated me. It’s good to know there is an audience for all those one-eyed, shutterbuggered hours, and all that photoshopping.

  31. Hi,

An eclectic mix, a pleasure to peruse. But why would you nominate Dear Deadbeat which hasn’t been updated since October?

    Keep up the good work.

  32. Congratulations to all the finalists.

It should be a very enjoyable night.

  33. ono Lim says:

  34. Hi ho, I was just dropping you a line to say ‘A Month Without Alcohol’(Irish Language nominee) has actually moved to ‘Praiseach*’ and I was actually planning to delete it today before I noticed the nomination. Any chance you could switch the names around?

  35. shane says:

Hey, this is nice. Well done to Damien (and everyone else) for keeping this award going.

  36. shane says:
