Last few hours of of voting – Vista copies to be won
All those who vote in the blog awards will be entered into a draw for a copy of Vista Home Premium. There’s 5 to give away. That’s a final incentive to have people vote for you. Best of luck to everyone. Voting closes at 5pm today. One vote per person.

One less hour than I thought. Curses. And I’m only up to F in the phone book.
When is the shortlist announced?
Yeah, when will we know that we have to drown our sorrows?
Will run through the lists a final time checking anything flagged as rogue votes and then will release them. I’m thinking around 1730
Hi Damien !
“Will run through the lists a final time checking anything flagged as rogue votes and then will release them. I’m thinking around 1730 ”
…but every[any?!] one that voted for us would be considered by many as “rogues” !
Just you WATCH IT with the ‘censorship’ , Mulley . Else I’ll have to haunt your every step across the airwaves….
You mean even more? 🙂
Update: Will be later this evening or first thing in morning now as Jason needs to access the DB from home before the spaminator is run.
And the voting page is still active …
Also I take it this spaminator does now count different people from @companyname.whatever to be spam, since these would be real people giving votes!
I had lots of people who read the blog vote for me from work. Our IP address will probably look the same.
I know thats why I think this spaminator may be flawed because if say you worked for microsoft you would have possibly hundreds of people all with the same email endings but in reality they are all different people unlike real spam bots.
Some people are never happy are they?
Surely that is the point of email address to go with the votes? I would have some folks from inside an institution (not that type of institution!) which would have the same IP.
Hi Damien !
“You mean even more? :-)”
I haven’t even STARTED yet – I fully intend to march up and down outside the radio station in question carrying a placard which reads ‘Mulley the rogue censor inside . Down with this type of thing!’
And – naturally – the placard will feature the ‘1169…’ url in a most prominent position ….
Sorry Damien, as you know I appreciate all you are doing here (I have said so in other posts), I was really just looking for clarification which you have given. Hope you will accept my apology if I came across differently.
