For those going to the Blog Awards there is a slight discount for hotel rooms from the Alexander. The bedroom rates are:
€170 per room per night for single occupancy inc Irish Breakfast
€185 per room per night for double occupancy inc Irish Breakfast

Alternatively, I’d like to recommend the Comfort Inn in Smithfield. I’ve stayed there numerous times and the hotel staff are really nice people and the hotel is quite new. The manager also runs marathons for local kids charities so they get my vote. You can get a twin room for €129 a night, €135 with breakfast.
Jury’s out by RTE is €89 for a twin room. It’s a fair bit out and quite quite basic but it is cheap. I find that the website Bookin1 is good for finding hotel deals.

Mind is boggling, checked reservations yesterday and it cost €145 for a double room. Excuse me while I kick myself quite hard for not booking it before the price went up. But yes, I’ll take a double room for the night of the 3rd.
Odd, they were closer to 200 for me when checking yesterday. You could have booked a block and resold at a profit!

I often find that http://www.hotelclub.com is a good place to get sneaky deals- it usually includes breakfasts as well, even when the hotel’s own site wouldn’t at the same price.
Hey maybe Twenty could get a deal at Ron’s B&B for us all? Mind you, it could be a liquid breakfast…
