  17. Donal Fallon says:

A midnight phone call told me to check out the sortlist, delighted to see our little baby (CHTM) make it this far! Two students and a student at heart, we didn’t know there was anything to the internet bar Facebook before November 2009 me thinks.

It was other blogs like Dublin Opinion, Bock…, Cedar Lounge, Why Thats Delightful, Nialler9 and blah blah blah that got me into all this, and there are so many great ones I lose more time than I should to these days just browsing.

It’s made my day, and even my week (and maybe even March) to see this. Go raibh míle maith agaibh ar fad.

  18. Fiona says:

  26. Longman Oz says:

100% fair play to those who have been putting time, effort, & money into making these awards happen, including those resident bards of Poetry Ireland. It is encouraging to learn that I am in the final shake-up for the warts & vulture award that they sponsor.

Naturally, may the best orts-hippy-liberal-burger flipping slacker win!

  27. Anyone know what kinda dress-code will be in place?

I’d just like to echo the praise and thanks of all above for the organisers/judges/sponsors. The three of us at Come Here To Me! never expected to make it anywhere near the shortlist so getting a phonecall at midnight last night was a true delight. Pity I’ll miss the awards, I’ll be in Doolin “researching” a lengthy blog post! Buíochas agus comhghairdeas go dtí gach duine!
